  • Dear Joel,
I am from India and also good and old friend of Pankaj from Kolkata. Like you, I had been to many different places of my country. But I admit that anyone finds it incomplete to become similar with the culture, folk and lives even after 20 years. There are extraordinary places of interests in various places like highly intelligence in ancient architectures. For example-: ancient kings had what we have now! You will laugh to know. Kings had AC Rooms!!!
India is popular for medical nature – curing. When our bones get broken very very serious, it require operation. But our bones can become ok without having iron support or operation.
As for Indian paintings, Lucknow – ancient palace there is painting. The figure can been seen in reflect!!! The painter’s skill is extraordinary. And many other surprises.
I have to write thousands of pages about India. I can’t. I am happy you have finally visited India. All the best. Will look forward to meeting you and showing you the best places when you come again!
    Cheers
